Law Librarianship as a Career

There are many opportunities for law graduates that don't involve practicing law. If you are interested in reading about Law Librarianship as a career, there is a list of articles on the AALL Recruitment Committee website that may be of interest to you. Another option is for you to talk to any one of the law librarians in the library. We would be happy to discuss what we do and why we decided on law librarianship as a career!

Whew!

For most students, finals are quickly drawing to a close. Whew! Another semester out of the way! For those who still have holidays to plan for and/or gifts to buy, the WSJ Online has an artcle listing blogs for shoppers. Arranged by topic, it might help you come up with some ideas in time to go out and shop for them.

The library staff provided coffee and treats for students during exam time. We hope our holiday gift to you helped you get through the stress of studying for exams, and we wish you the best possible outcome for them.

Posts to this blog will resume on a regular basis on December 28.

The Library During Finals

The SBA has placed a box in the library to collect donations of warm clothes, hats, scarves, blankets, etc. Check it out at the entrance of the library!

December 7 - 20, the library will be open from 7:30 a.m. until 2:00 a.m. If you are studying in the library during the late night hours, remember that you can call Safety and Security (x2100) for an escort to your vehicle.

You are reminded to not leave your personal belongings unattended at any time.

Be considerate of others during the final exam period. Please, no loud talking anywhere in the library. Turn your cell phones off or to "silent" and if you receive a call, take it outside the library. If you are bothered by noise, the library has a supply of earplugs for student use. You can pick them up at the Circulation Desk.

During the exam period, the library will have a coffee cart set out for students. Help yourselves to coffee and whatever goodies you find on the cart!
